Act 89
  • Provide support to students in remedial math and reading
  • AIU teacher in conjunction with the classroom teacher, identifies education needs, designs interventions and strategies to help the student succeed
  • AIU teacher visits on a regular basis
Student Assistance Program (SAP)
  • Program started in 1990 and mandated by the Commonwealth of PA
  • This program promotes the growth and development of a student who is experiencing behavioral difficulties that impact their social, emotional and education progress
  • Faculty or parents may make the referral to the team
  • All information is kept strictly confidential
Counseling
  • A certified AIU counselor visits the school on a weekly basis
  • Counseling is provided individually or with as a small group session
  • Referrals are taken from parents, principal, teacher or self referral
Psychological Testing

  • Testing is available by parent request or at the recommendation of the teacher along with the principal
  • Results are reported to parents, principal and teachers along with any recommendations
  • All information is strictly confidential
