Spanish
  • All students K-8 partake in a Spanish class
  • Each grade follows particular curriculum designed for their level
  • Starting with counting, colors and general vocabulary and advancing to speaking and writing in Spanish
 
Library
  • Newly renovated and updated
  • Automated system to be completed Fall of 2006
  • Utilized by all grades to support and enrich the curriculum
  • Librarian assists and educates the students on the resourcefulness of the library
  • The classroom teachers may utilize the Library for their students for special projects or research
 
Technology
  • A state of the are computer lab with 25 new computers as of the Fall 2006
  • All computers have a 17-inch flat screen monitor, Microsoft Office® software (including PowerPoint) and are connected to the Internet
  • A computer teacher instructs all students in K-8 based on appropriate curriculum
  • The computer lab is open to all teachers and their students (outside of computer class time) to work in projects or research
  • The school is connected with a tech support company should there be any technical difficulties with any computer
 
Art
  • Each teacher is responsible for weekly art classes as part of the curriculum
  • Each child is encouraged to expand on their individual creativity
  • Volunteers are welcomed for various projects
 
Health & Physical Education
  • Physical Education is held every Tuesday for grades K-8
  • Teacher is provided through the YMCA
  • Special classes are held throughout the year: Punt, Pass & Kick and the annual Creek Walk
  • We incorporate the Department of Catholic School’s curriculum "Fit for Life"
  • Health education is taught by each teacher based on the Diocesan "Health for Success" program
 
Extended Day Program

Our school offers an extended Day program which runs in the morning and afternoon. This program is designed for those students who need supervision before and/or after school. Extended Day opens in the morning from 7:00am-8:15am and in the afternoon from 3:30-6:00. The students may utilize this time to play or do homework. The price schedule is set according to morning and/or afternoon session plus number of days per week that this service is needed.
